In Davenport, FL
While we don't offer a dedicated wrestling program, wrestling is a core component of our MMA and BJJ training at Gracie Barra Davenport — and you'll develop serious takedown skills on our mats.
Wrestling Is Core to What We Do
Wrestling — takedowns, double-legs, single-legs, sprawls, and mat control — is one of the most dominant attributes in modern martial arts. The best BJJ and MMA practitioners are often decorated wrestlers, and the takedown game is an essential part of the training at Gracie Barra Davenport.
Our MMA program, led by ranked professional Thiago Belo, includes dedicated wrestling content: double-leg and single-leg takedowns, sprawl defense, cage/clinch work, and transitions from takedown to ground control. In our BJJ program, guard pulling, stand-up grappling, and takedown entries are all part of the No-Gi curriculum.
If you're looking for a comprehensive grappling program that includes wrestling fundamentals alongside the submission skills of BJJ and the striking of Muay Thai, Gracie Barra Davenport is exactly what you're looking for.
